OriginalEditedAssignment DescriptionFor this assignment, we had to take a picture of somewhere in the school and then put it into photoshop and add different out of the ordinary things that you wouldn't normally see in that location. What I LearnedI learned how to use photoshop and became a lot more comfortable with it. Although, I still struggle with the quick selection tool. It was cool to know how to get an image in and add different things in to change it to be the way you like it.

For this assignment, we had to take five pictures using a tripod moving the camera with each picture. Then we would go into photoshop and merge them together to make one long picture. I learned how to use a tripod to keep my pictures all level. I also learned how to use photoshop to merge my pictures to create one long panoramic photo. Very neat! :D
For this assignment, we had to take six pictures of nature that represent what nature is like around our area.
I learned more about manual mode and it seems like it has improved from last time and will continue to get better with checking the aperture and shutter to get the photo to look the way I want.
I picked nature because it seemed like the perfect time to take pictures right when the leaves were starting to turn red, orange and yellow.
For this assignment, we had to take pictures of people and use some of the different skills we learned using manual mode and using photoshop. This proved to be a lot more difficult than initially anticipated. My shutter speed was 1/800. My aperture was f7.1. My ISO was 3200. This made for a lot of motion blur and fuzziness to the picture that I did not want. However, all of my pictures turned out like this so I just picked the cutest one. Next time I will make sure I lower my shutter speed to avoid digital noise. I am unable to photoshop out with the skills I have now. I am a photoshop noob. I learned I always have to check the settings on my camera to make sure everything turns out the way I want. I learned to don't stop taking pictures just because you think they turned out always look at them beforehand. ;)
I chose to do people because this weekend is homecoming and it would be fun to take portraits of my friends. I think I can accomplish some good pictures like Elliott and his hen with my friends and line up their eyeballs to rule of 3rds!
For this assignment, we had to take pictures of animals we have while showing composition aspects that we had learned previously. Such as, lining up the animal's eyes or turning on shutter for those feisty little creatures that can't stand still. We then took hundreds of pictures and picked 6 good ones and 1 that is better then them all. My aperture was f3.4. The shutter speed was 1/20 and the ISO was set at 1250. I did very little editing the only thing I changed was the brightness because the picture ended up being a little dark as it was taken early in the morning, I learned taking pictures of dogs is very tricky. They are very spunky and often don't want to sit still. But it help me a lot to figure out shutter speed, although I still have lots to fix, and adjusting it to make a picture freeze the motion of my dog running away from me as I try to snap a picture.
I picked these three pictures because they are very adorable and well planned out and I want to do this with my horse. I love the way they were all well thought out with the background and what feeling is being captured in the picture.
Shutter I was trying to show motion by slowing down or speeding up the shutter speed. When the shutter speed was slower you can see a slight motion blur and the subject is slightly fuzzy. Then as it got faster the image got clearer and crisper. Aperture I was trying to show a deeper depth of field with each picture so as the aperture got higher the depth of field decreased. You can see it in some of the pictures some have a blurry background or they are crisp and clear. However, it can be a bit hard to see. In shutter I learned how to capture motion or freeze time while taking a picture just by adjusting a couple of numbers and making it higher or slower. With aperture I learned how to show depth of field and adjust the composition with the shutter and aperture together to make a photo that is pleasing to the eye.
