When I first walked into this class I was terrified of all the upper class men and all these different people I don't know. If I am being honest, I was scared of Mr. O'Donnell also. He assigned us our first photo assignments it was a little bit overwhelming being new to the school and having never picked up a camera. Me and my friends went outside to take pictures and they were not good at all. We took random pictures of ducks and trees and things we thought looked artistic, which they weren't at all. Despite it being the first time taking pictures we didn't do too bad. Then we were assigned with photo assignment 1 in which I picked animals. It did not do so well on this one. I had completely forgotten about it and scrambled Monday morning to take pictures of my dog before having to catch the bus. It was dark and the sun was just starting to come up. I managed to do it and they didn't turn out to terrible, it was pretty embarrassing though and I knew I could do better. Overtime I got better and learned how to use different settings on my camera and set up a scene so then it looks more like a professional picture rather than a little child playing with a camera. I became a lot more confident with picking up the camera and going out to take pictures. Here are my best and worst pictures from the year. PEACE OUT GIRL SCOUTS

For this assignment, we had to pick two words and put the words into photoshop with their definition and add different pictures to represent the words using all the tools we have learned to use during the trimester. At the end we had to merge them together. I learned how to use the gradient tool to make different colored backgrounds that fade together. I also learned how to use the text tool better and can make the text go vertical. However, I didn't chose to do vertical text for this assignment.
For this assignment, we had to make different puns visual by adding different images into a 5'' by 5'' so then it is obvious what the pun or saying is. Then we merged them together. I learned how to put photos together and how to adjust different things in images to make it seem more realistic.
The AssignmentFor this assignment, we had to take pictures of food using all the skills we have learned from this class in taking pictures and using photoshop to take an appetizing picture of some food. OriginalEditedExposure Triangle
What I LearnedI learned how to set up different foods so it looks appetizing and I learned how difficult it can be to take pictures of food without different shadows or having it be to boring of a photo. Lots of photoshop was needed to improve the quality of the photos.
The AssignmentFor this assignment, we had to take different pictures with the talent in different places doing different things then we merged them all together so it looks there are multiple talents of the same person. 1st Picture2nd PictureWhat I LearnedI learned how to use photo merge and how to use black to conceal and white to reveal layers on my picture. It was very fun, would do again.
For this assignment, we had to take pictures of different objects or still life. OriginalExposure Triangle Aperture - f4.8 Shutter - 1/15 ISO - 640 EditedWhat I LearnedI learned it is fun to take pictures of different objects around my house and how to change the settings on my camera when I go to a different room. I also learned how to set up my subject so the picture looks nice.
For this assignment, we had to take two portrait photos in two different locations. One was in a studio with lights and a backdrop and the other was using natural lights and a bounce card. After we took the photos we had to put them into photoshop and put them next to each other. I learned how to set up a subject for a portrait making sure there is equal space on either side of the subjects head and how to adjust the light so there aren't shadows on the subjects face where there shouldn't be shadows.
For this assignment, we had to pick four different Photoshop tutorials from online and complete them creating the same picture from the tutorial or something different. Tutorial 1 - PopartTutorial 2 - Screen JumpTutorial 3 - PolaroidTutorial 4 - Light BulbLink: I couldn't find a link for this one. Me and my friend Elise saw other people doing it so attempted to do one on our own using different tools we have learned about. What I LearnedI learned A LOT. There are many Photoshop tools I never knew existed until we did all of these very helpful tutorials. By the end of it I was able to make my own photo using Photoshop easily and with confidence.
For this assignment, we had to take pictures of things in black and white to show contrasting colors.
What I LearnedI learned how important it is to set up your picture so everything is the way it needs to be so the pictures work and the camera has something to focus on. Then it will also make it overall appealing to the eye. Black and white was challenging because there are no real colors to keep the photo interesting so your subject has to be something that catches the eye and be well placed.
