For this assignment, we had to pick four different Photoshop tutorials from online and complete them creating the same picture from the tutorial or something different. Tutorial 1 - PopartTutorial 2 - Screen JumpTutorial 3 - PolaroidTutorial 4 - Light BulbLink: I couldn't find a link for this one. Me and my friend Elise saw other people doing it so attempted to do one on our own using different tools we have learned about. What I LearnedI learned A LOT. There are many Photoshop tools I never knew existed until we did all of these very helpful tutorials. By the end of it I was able to make my own photo using Photoshop easily and with confidence.

For this assignment, we had to take pictures of things in black and white to show contrasting colors.
What I LearnedI learned how important it is to set up your picture so everything is the way it needs to be so the pictures work and the camera has something to focus on. Then it will also make it overall appealing to the eye. Black and white was challenging because there are no real colors to keep the photo interesting so your subject has to be something that catches the eye and be well placed.
OriginalEditedAssignment DescriptionFor this assignment, we had to take a picture of somewhere in the school and then put it into photoshop and add different out of the ordinary things that you wouldn't normally see in that location. What I LearnedI learned how to use photoshop and became a lot more comfortable with it. Although, I still struggle with the quick selection tool. It was cool to know how to get an image in and add different things in to change it to be the way you like it.
For this assignment, we had to take five pictures using a tripod moving the camera with each picture. Then we would go into photoshop and merge them together to make one long picture. I learned how to use a tripod to keep my pictures all level. I also learned how to use photoshop to merge my pictures to create one long panoramic photo. Very neat! :D
For this assignment, we had to take six pictures of nature that represent what nature is like around our area.
I learned more about manual mode and it seems like it has improved from last time and will continue to get better with checking the aperture and shutter to get the photo to look the way I want.
I picked nature because it seemed like the perfect time to take pictures right when the leaves were starting to turn red, orange and yellow.
For this assignment, we had to take pictures of people and use some of the different skills we learned using manual mode and using photoshop. This proved to be a lot more difficult than initially anticipated. My shutter speed was 1/800. My aperture was f7.1. My ISO was 3200. This made for a lot of motion blur and fuzziness to the picture that I did not want. However, all of my pictures turned out like this so I just picked the cutest one. Next time I will make sure I lower my shutter speed to avoid digital noise. I am unable to photoshop out with the skills I have now. I am a photoshop noob. I learned I always have to check the settings on my camera to make sure everything turns out the way I want. I learned to don't stop taking pictures just because you think they turned out always look at them beforehand. ;)
I chose to do people because this weekend is homecoming and it would be fun to take portraits of my friends. I think I can accomplish some good pictures like Elliott and his hen with my friends and line up their eyeballs to rule of 3rds!
