I picked these three pictures because they are very adorable and well planned out and I want to do this with my horse. I love the way they were all well thought out with the background and what feeling is being captured in the picture.

Shutter I was trying to show motion by slowing down or speeding up the shutter speed. When the shutter speed was slower you can see a slight motion blur and the subject is slightly fuzzy. Then as it got faster the image got clearer and crisper. Aperture I was trying to show a deeper depth of field with each picture so as the aperture got higher the depth of field decreased. You can see it in some of the pictures some have a blurry background or they are crisp and clear. However, it can be a bit hard to see. In shutter I learned how to capture motion or freeze time while taking a picture just by adjusting a couple of numbers and making it higher or slower. With aperture I learned how to show depth of field and adjust the composition with the shutter and aperture together to make a photo that is pleasing to the eye.
Texture - up close grass Symmetry - a picnic tables with two trees lined up on the end Space - a flower by itself with the blue sky Rule of Thirds - Marz with his eyes lined up Perspective - a tree from the ground Pattern - a group of white flowers with a pink flower breaking the pattern Lines - bugs on a life and the stem of the leaf drags the attention to my bugs Framing - Carly with her face in between the bars so it is framing Depth of Field - flowers by the pond with a blurred background Balance - plants by the pond Color - yellow flowers on a bush With this composition project I learned a lot more about taking quality pictures that are pleasing to the eye. I never knew there was so much to taking pictures then just pointing your camera at an object and shooting. So far these are simple things that you can use with any camera and create an amazing picture. Things as simple as lining up a subjects eyes can mean so much to a picture and how it turns out.
Howdy Ho! Welcome to my blog, hot diggity dog. My name is Aubrey Whalen. I am a 9th grader at Saline High School. I have two dogs Scout and Sunny they are very fun to play with and can be very energetic at times. Scout is a white fluffy coton de tulear and Sunny is a labradoodle. Something I enjoy doing is riding horses and being around horses. They make my day a million times better and are a joy to be around. Right now I am in Digital Photography class. I took this class to better my picture taking skillz and jut have a great time all around with my best friend Elise. I used to think to take a picture you just point the camera and take a picture I never knew it could be so technical.
